The Bakehouse Gallery .......
began its existence as an outlet for my jewellery and some local artwork but in a short space of time became my working studio and headquarters of Fiona Dane Jewellery
and has now developed into something so much more.......
Housed in what was once the old town bakery in the historic market town of Alnwick, The Bakehouse Gallery now offers the visitor a deceptively large space in which to view the work of selected British artists and designers covering a range of themes, styles and subject matter.
It is a wonderful, inviting and inspiring gallery oozing light and harmony, full of texture, vibrancy and colour with the overriding emphasis, most definitely, on quality.
Tuesday to Saturday 10.30 - 4.30
or when you see the lights on.
We are just a short walk from:
(The home of the Percy family for nearly 700 years and considered one of the finest castles in England). Right next to the castle are Alnwick Gardens
(where you can experience The Grand Cascade fountains, The Ornamental Garden, many `secret` gardens and The Tree House - another world of wobbly rope bridges, wooden walkways and a treetop restaurant)
The wonderfully unique and quirky Barter Books
(Based in what was the Victorian Railway Station for Alnwick it is one of the largest second hand book shops in England, with over 350,000 books to choose from in an atmosphere of cosy peace & tranquility.
Barter Book is also known as the home of the famous "Keep Calm And Carry On"
Simply follow the brown tourist signs
for the Bakehouse Gallery on entering Alnwick.
